Hair transplants have carried a stigma for many years. Admittedly, when it was first developed in the 1950's, the outcomes appeared terribly unnatural. The punch technology of the time involved invasive, high-risk extractions; and too-often produced tufts of "doll's hair" amid a new landscape of disfiguring scars.
