Just got really into open suse in the last 24 hours, and after a little learning curve, I think it will replace pclos on my dual-boot netbook So far so good, awesome desktop, and I think I will make a server out of it as that was the only unused machine to try it on.... I will let you know how that works out. Sure has enough security for a server, lol. _________________ Build it. drive it. roll it over. fix it, start over
opensuse as a business desktop has always been my personal favorite. as a web server, I find their system to not be worth the time as they are different enough from the more common server distro like redhat, centos and debian that new techs get confuzled pretty easily when you have to train them on Linux servers "normal" and oh by the way, here's Linux server suse style..
yes, I tend to find my way into shops that wil luse majority one distro and a couple other systems running another distro. like a mostly centos shop with a couple debian servers. like that.
now if all my servers were going to be opensuse, then it wouldn't be that much of a deal.
