DropBox is a very good tool to allow access to files on multiple computers and remote access from public computers.
It has both Linux and Windows clients that can be installed on your desktop and syncs up to the online storage automatically.
I have found my best use for it is keeping files that I need frequent access to or that my wife (who works as the business office manager) needs access to.
Also, it is a great place to keep constantly changing files centralized in case of breakdowns. Like the Tomboy notes core directory. Backing up Evolution to there, etc...
It has become indispensable to me in business use. Just as long as no confidential information is stored there. |
