MS likes to play a limited features game in their versions. They also like to make themselves incompatible with with everything else out there just to force adoption.

If you are looking at Joining Windows Home premium edition to a SAMBA share or domain controller, you can forget it. Apparently, MS thinks home users don't network or use mixed networks.

You have to buy Windows 7 professional or ultimate to get the fully loaded experience and capabilities. which, of course, costs more money.

See what I mean when I say, my problem isn't with Windows as an operating system necessarily, it's the stupid proprietary, corporate games that MS plays with it. Making the actual OS more of a victim than a perpetrator.
