The HP Pavilion and Norton antivirus programs are both high quality, there should be no .exe files, software programs on the D: drive they should be on C: drive. So any downloading, erasing or deleting of files on D: will not affect Windows or Norton. If you have somehow installed software onto D: drive I believe these programs can only be uninstalled by a computer expert because if you use the control panel to uninstall you will be removing software from C: drive.
