Greeting folks, Ed here. Many of you remember me from BEL and from PCLOS years ago. I am still around, running about 5 distros, and am working as Director of IT for a huge non profit in Bloomington, IN. BigBear and I go way back and he has helped me a lot along my way to my new career. Unfortunatley, its a Microcrap 7 office, but I am sneaking in as much linux as I can... Glad to see you guys here on this forum as it's just what I needed.
Any word of an IRC channel? us BEL guys had a lot of fun and learning there!

Well, my new job makes me the perfect guinea pig for melding technologies.... My Clark Connect IBM server with 16Gb of ram and a few terabytes in raid kinda makes me all warm and fuzzy. I don't think the 10,000$ bill will excite the boss in the same way.. but hey, as IT director I deserve a larger monitor and a nice laptop... Laying it out on Visio now, just wish that 25" monitor was here now, sure make this diagram much easier! Glad to be aboard, and I meant to tell you, I still reference the BEL docs quite often. There is some good stuff in there. I printed it all and put it in binders years ago....
