I go by the name of Big Bear on the forums and otherwise. My name is Tony Sandoval. I run a small business in Omaha, NE called BBE-Tech.
We provide bee conservation services, bee friendly pest management services and operate what we call a "Bee Market" locally selling honey and beeswax products, bee themed gift items and beekeeping equipment and supplies.
I went to college and received my degree as a network tech about 15 years ago starting on Novell NetWare and Windows 3.11.
I then promptly became a truck driver.
I have always stayed involved in computer network field in some way though, even as a hobby. I pretty much am self taught on Linux since then. I have been using Linux and opensource apps for about 14 years now and am especially fond of servers and networking. I am now also the volunteer IT admin for the school my kids attend and I admin about 5 web sites, two of which are for my business.
I am here to help other people use Linux and opensource to get more productivity for their small business at a lower cost and with more control over the software and what happens on their computers. |
