Bluetooth is simply a protocol for a low power/short distance wireless transmission between devices. It can be a path for connectivity between the computer and other devices.the bluetooth device is in pairing mode. usually you can do this by holding the phone button till it lights up steady blue (on motorola bluetooth devices, at least) and then going through your phone's bluetooth setup process. when you get to the point where you need to put in a code, usually 0000 works. sorry but i cant be more specific without knowing which bluetooth device and which phone you're using.
