They both seem like they could benefit in the long run, but the question is mainly what you need more knowledge on, or which you are confident you can do on your own time. If you feel you need a teacher for event management, pick up a few books on your favourite particular language and study up yourself. If you're passionate about it, it shouldn't be too difficult to have it in your own time.
